THE VENEZUELAN CRISIS HURTS COLOMBIA

The political and economic crisis that Venezuela is experiencing, since 2012 to date, has brought repercussions for Colombian businessmen, who say that exports to the neighboring country fell by more than USD 7 billion and debts also grew.

"Migration undoubtedly has an impact in fiscal and employment terms. In January, the Dane figures showed the effect on this matter, since we have a larger active population willing to be employed; the participation rate is higher," said the union leader.


When there is the migration of Venezuelans, Colombians are left without opportunities as these people try to survive in any way, either by working in anything, to the point of stealing.
